An executive career consulting firm like Browning Associates provides a comprehensive solution executives looking to advance their career. They begin by working with you to understand your specific needs and requirements.
There are a lot of career consultants out there, but not all of them are as thorough as Browning Associates.
Here are a few things to look for when you’re hiring a consultant to help you with your career:
It’s important to hire a consultant who has a lot of experience in the field. They should have a proven track record of helping people find jobs, advance in their careers, and reach their goals.
2. A personal touch
A good career consultant will take the time to get to know you and your career goals. They should be able to tailor their advice and services to your specific needs as an executive searching for a job.
3. A positive attitude
A positive attitude is crucial for anyone in a career transition. Your consultant should be supportive and encouraging, and help you see the silver lining in every situation, but not so positive that they do not address important matters in a serious way.
4. A sense of humor
A sense of humor is always a plus, especially when you’re dealing with the stresses of a career transition. A good consultant will be able to lighten the mood and keep things in perspective.
5. Connections and resources
A good career consultant will have a network of contacts that they can tap into to help you advance in your career. This might include a network of specialists that are experts in interview prep, resume writing, and other skills that an executive job seeker will need.
A good career consultant will have a wealth of resources at their disposal, including books, websites, articles, and more. They should be able to point you in the right direction when you need help with your career.
A good career consultant will be flexible and adaptable. They should be able to change their approach as needed to fit your unique situation. Every executive level job seeker is going to have different needs.
7. A reasonable fee
Last but not least, you should make sure that the fee you’re paying for your consultant’s services is reasonable in comparison to the level of career support they will provide. According to many former clients, Browning Associates’ fee is beyond reasonable for the services they provide. Even some former clients who once called Browning Associates a scam are now changing their mind after realizing the wealth of benefit that has been provided.

I worked with Melissa to lead my recent executive job search. She is engaging and walked me through each step of the program, explaining what I didn’t understand, listening to my needs and honestly nudging me in the right direction when I got off track. Eugene’s training and mentorship in the art of verbal jiu jitsu have helped me immeasurably
Eugene’s training and mentorship in the art of verbal jiu jitsu have helped me immeasurably in being able to verbally communicate my value to others. The initial purpose for the training was to help with job interviews but the lessons that I learned through it have applied far more broadly and have reached into all of my relationships to include business and personal. Eugene models his method while teaching which creates a very powerful system where the lessons and system that he is teaching very quickly become second nature and available on a subconscious level. He is a master of this skill and a master in helping others to fully internalize it as part of who they are. Although I finished training with Eugene many months ago, I still consider him a close friend and ally and always will. Even at the beginning of our coaching, the relationship that we had felt like a mutually-supportive friendship and today, I would be thrilled to host Eugene at my house if he ever decided to make the trek to Michigan. I consider him a close friend who has also made my life so much better by teaching me extremely valuable, useful, and applicable skills.

I am a seasoned IT Executive with abundant industry contacts and a great resume.
I am a seasoned IT Executive with abundant industry contacts and a great resume. However, I found it difficult to find the right job in my pay range, and to figure out how to jump to the next executive level. After two years of not finding anything, I hired Browning to help. I can’t believe what I didn’t realize and wasn’t doing at this stage of my career! I would recommend them unequivocally. This is the best investment you can make to further expand into a powerful, authentic network and find your dream job. I woke up excited every day to work on getting work vs. being concerned it would take me forever to land a job due to age discrimination. I had three offers and declined first two because, while I was paid decently in the past, I was tired of not getting the title and higher pay that I should have commanded at this stage. In the past, I would have taken the first offer because I had mouths to feed/college bills to pay, but now I had confidence because the process generates so much action. In addition, I had several other companies float ideas with me – “hey, would you be interested in….”My search with Browning took 11 months, however, after 7 months of working with them I knew I was going to land my current role. It took another 4 months after that because my employer is a large enterprise that was creating a role for me, and things like that are slow in large companies. That was no problem because the networking strategies they taught me yielded consulting engagements that resulted in more pay in 3 months than I had earned in the prior year. I ultimately got 50% more pay than my last two jobs (provided I earn my bonus, which I usually do).
